We are a team of makers in Fes, Morocco . In our shops , leather is our work . We learn from fathers , uncles , and neighbors who cut and stitch leather by hand . We focus on patience and skill .
The name Flydigito comes from a place in Fes where we began. This name is a vow . We promise to honor the skill and care of our makers while we make bags for use .
Our Story
Flydigito began with a goal : to protect the craftsmanship of Fes while making bags for use .
Marouane Bergaouy leads our work . He started Flydigito to support artisans and keep techniques alive. What started as a workshop has grown into a team of artisans working across spaces in Fes .
Today, we follow this vision — making items while providing work and opportunities for artisans in our community .
Leatherworking in Fes has been part of generations . Each technique , from cutting to stitching , has been passed down through families . Every bag reflects this knowledge , shaped by experience and practice .
Our Craft
Every Flydigito bag is handmade in our workshops using techniques passed down through time :
Leather Selection : We choose leather by hand , looking for pieces that will age.
Cutting : Each piece is measured and cut by hand using tools . We respect the grain and strength of every hide .
Hand Stitching : Every stitch is done by hand , creating seams that machines cannot replicate.
Finishing : We polish edges , condition the leather , and inspect every bag before it leaves our workshop .
No bags are alike — variations in color , grain , or stitching are part of the result , a reflection of the hands and heritage of the artisan .
